OK. The intercooler does not block air flow. It MAY reduce it a bit.

Lot's of air still passes through the intercooler. Infact I checked with a fan before I installed it and The Ion cooler allowed more air through the fins than most of the other intercoolers i have ever installed.

Trust me...... I've seen my share!

There is no need for a lower thermostat. The bigger rad helped.

No, I don't believe a "fix" is order here. But I do believe you can dramatically increase cooling efficiency by introducing a larger rad.

Rather than changing what temp is considered "hot". Keeping the temp below this set point for as long as possible is best in my opinion.
