I noticed that my stock brakes are now starting to squeek (braindead so I was looking around and thought I would get ceramic pads to reduce the ridiculous amount of brake dust on the wheels. Anyone have suggestions? I notice a lot of people go with hawk.....and I also saw ebc red stuff for the ceramic....and what about rotora? I noticed the rpm store has them for $74 for fronts and $54 for rears.......questions and concerns are welcome any reviews would be helpful especially on the rotoras or pricing info for the hawks

Dont know much about those brands.. Are you looking just at pad and rotor stock upgrades or are you wanting BIGGER brakes period

I'm right there with you about the dust. It is REDICULOUS. I went out and bought black wheels.

I've never used EBC brakes myself. A lot of people around here seem to swear by them, and talk about how much less dust there is. I have an EBC clutch in my motorcycle and love it. They make quality stuff in my experience.

i have a good friend that has had EBC stuff in both of his rides, great stuff, very noticeable difference.

i have ebc greenstuffs on my miata. they're way better than stock. as in they, bite better, no fade when i autox, and very little dust. the miata stockers were as bad as the speed6 with the all the dust they put out.

again these are on my miata. were talkin two totally different weight classes. but when it comes time for me to get new pads for the ms6, i'll be going with the green stuff from ebc.

I have used axxis and hawks. They have worked out for me very well, not on this car though. Planing on going the same route when the time comes.

OP... what did you decide to go with? I'm going to need to change my pads pretty soon and was looking for some feedback.

I've used Hawk pads in the past and liked them.

Hah i just went through all the research myself and posted questions on my local club forum.

went ahead and ordered the HAWK HPS pads front & rears from TriPoint.
dial the name extension for "jeff". he can hook it up.

anyway, talking with him i wanted something that is usable for DD but can also track with every now and then.
He actually said that the stock MS6 pads bite the BEST for performance, but tend to warp/fade kinda bad, despite having the best overall performance. then ofc they dust like crazy!

The HAWK HPS i went with as they are rated with good heat ranges for track usage, and moderate/low dust semi metallics for street.
i was considering ceramics too, but the HAWK and Posi-Quiet pads arent rated quite high enough for a reliable track pad. for those that do want ceramics, those two brands perform about the same for street, and the Centric/stoptech Posi Quiets run cheaper however.

EBC pads are good, but people have complained about bad fade from what my friends tell me.
now this is purely for MS6 users mind you, who track about once every 1-2 months.

Rotora H2, i hear are also damn good for street, but are on the same cost level as hawks, and perform the same as the cheaper Posi Quiets.
Personally i would have gotten stock pads instead of the HPS, but stock pads are way damn more expensive, sadly. and too much dust for street use, haha.

hope that info helps a bit!
