Where TO find HIDs FOR MSP?

Ive looked around several sites for HIDs. I have found a few but not sure what type of bulb the MSP would use. If anyone knows where to get a good set of HIDs and has pics then please post them. THanks

I dont think anyone sells them anymore since they are illegal. You may still be able to find them on ebay and I know there is a gb for them in the For Sale section but thats the only places I can think of. I have HID's on my car and I love them. They use the H4 bulbs. There are pics of my car with the HID's on during the day in this forum i'll try to find you a link

i am setting up a gb on them after the weekend, a member of MEC is going to install them on his car this weekend and post a review. and as far as i know they are still legal or else they wouldn't come stock on all these new cars and trucks. check the f/s on monday, if things go well then i might even start the gb on sunday

The law made aftermarket HIDs illegal because improper mounting/aiming made them dangerous to other drivers. Stock HIDs are fine.

Considering the law is for businesses and most businesses do *not* want to be shut down, I'd say the law is going to make it quite a bit more difficult to find a quality aftermarket HID kit. Many HID sites havene already closed their "HID doors" due to the law.

so what about those of us who purchased HIDs before the law went into effect? If mine go bad on me, is there any way I could replace them? cause actually mine were a dealer installed option....

I would think so, if they really offered those at the dealer. I never heard of that offer...wish I had, I would have done it in a heartbeat!

The ballasts can be sold. The aftermarket conversion kits cannot. See hidforum or liteswap for more info.

btw im the MEC member doing the test for dnyastims HID kit on the P5 with the H7 bulbs. the speed has the H4 but the kit is from the same company so i would expect the same level of quality for that kit as the P5 one will hopefully have. i will have photos and all hopefully tommorrow for everyone.
