#4 Laser Blue Mica MP3
Well, i bought a 5 inch. tach with shift light for my mustang a long time ago and now since that is going to be sold; and i bought the mp3 i was thinking about putin it in there. It cost alot and looks nice so i can't let it go to waist. It even changes like 7 different colors and isn't one of those nock off bad ones. I know the first place people put them is near the a pillar against the window but i'm a muscle car guy at heart and want to see if there is any way i could put it closer to the shifter or cd player. Any suggestions? P.S. how hard is it to install?

let me give you the stock response right off the bat:
"It already has a tach; why do you want another one?"

Cause I like the look of the tach. and i don't want it to sit in the box with the rest of my mustang parts that never made it on. This one i can actually salvage for my MP3. And the blue neon face would go good with my interior blue and exterior blue neons.

seriously the only time I would use one is in a full race car. and it would be directly in the line of sight between me and the tree.. otherwise, I'd sell it.

but you have to admit, there are alot of mods that should be saved for racing aplications only that guys put in their cars. It just dresses up the interior a little. If it helps at all, i have the turbo boost, a/f, and voltage pod on the a pillar. so the big tach wouldn't sit alone by itself lookin out of place.

Outside the car on the hood in front of you. I'm kinda kidding....but kinda not.

I have seen people mount gauges outside the car on the hood.

my car has the begi turbo kit set at 5 lbs. Garrett t03 turbo, liquid, oil, and air cooled. Very small intercooler though, would have went with a big front mount one if it was my choice. Anybody here of anything about it being better if the mass air is before or after the turbo? Mine sucks the air from a filter in the engine bay and goes right through the turbo. the turbo on mine is right in the front on the top near the radiator support. i haven't really seen anybody or heard anybody wiuth this kit on hear and maybe if anyone knows something about it they can help me out on info. All i know is that it is safe to run up to 7lbs. with this kit. And the engine internals can only take a max of 10lbs.

Gauges only look good on the hood if they are in a cowl. (older muscle cars)IMO
A c/f 2" cowl would look pretty good on our cars.

gauges on the hood typically are mechanical, and are those that arent safe to install running into the cabin (fuel pressure, brake pressure, etc)
