When do is the best time to tune?

At what point of bolt-ons is a tune neccessary?

I have just a Short Ram Intake and Inlet-I would like to buy a FMIC. Would I need to tune or will my car run okay?

Car will run just fine... bolt on stuff I wouldn't worry to much but it can only benefit you. Anytime you start to go pass intake, exhaust, FMIC, Bigger Turbo etc then I would say start to really consider getting a tune to maximize power output.

Thanks! I only want to do intake, fmic, downpipe--eventual cobb accessport--

It was a few years ago, but when I was driving a CX-7 there was talk of needing a tune for anything beyond intake--of course, that is a totally different vehicle than a MS3, but same engine and general concept I think.

Can a moderator edit the title of my thread so people don't have to read it ten times to figure out what it says? Plus, it makes me look dumber than I already am. It should say, "When is the best time to tune?"
