When did you start modding imports?

August 2003, about a month after I got my P5. This is my first foriegn car. Granted the wife had a tercel and got her Civic december of 02, but those were all stock.

Nice. I've been doing it on my own since 1991 (when I turned 16). But throughout the 80's, my cousins were already fixing up their RX-2's AE86's etc.... and I learned alot from them.

since my 91' CRX and the ol' engine swap. With new cars though I'm keeping them mostly stock these days.....nothing that'll **** with warranties. I'm more into motorcycles than cars now as far as modding or working on them myself.

Crap I feel old I started on imports in 1987 with a 68 Volkswagon Bug in HB. Yes it is an import. But if you mean just Japanese makes I would have to say 1993 my Honda Accord.

since 95.... honda civic SI hatchback... in the end it got stolen and totally stripped.

With the P5....I took it from the dealership and drove it home...(5 km)...then I drove it from the dealership to my tire/rim shop and put on the tenzo zt6s (another 10 km).

so...my first mod was 15km into the car's life.

I consider VW's imports :) I've always wanted to build a Karmanghia.

I was thinking about it back in the day, like 1998, i was like 12, yeah I'm a youngin. I've been dreaming about cars before I go to bed every night since I was in grade 2, which is like...really young. I'm car crazy. I modified my bikes, which were made in Japan, and my toy cars, which were imports aswell ;). Does that count?????

I got into it in '96(I was 15) when my dad bought his Civic. I helped him find parts, and convince him on what to get. I got to drive it until I got my own car a few years later:) My first project car was in '99 with my '92 240SX (R.I.P.)
