Wheel Gurus Please Help

ic ic, thanks for the input. Do you have pics of ur rims so i can see how much the 235 bubbles out past the edge of the rim? I want to get tires that are flush with the edge of the rim and since you have the same size u are the perfect example. Thanks for any help you can offer.

S'all I got.

much appreciated, these are perfect! I think from the look of it i will be goin with his suggestion...it seems like the 8" sticks out a bit and is not flush with the rear quarter panel...am i right or is it the angle of the photo? Thanks alot for the images btw.

they are pretty much flush in the back. The front overhang on the fenders is greater. Keep in mind, I throw s*** all over the side of my car now.

no, the front of the car is wider. It hides the wheels a touch better. Tire goop and rocks. I have a chip under my mirror.

O ic so 8" should be fine all the way around then? I just wonder if 225 on a 8" is gonna expose the lip of the rim. The rocks are rocks are shooting up from the rear?

So from what I am gathering its the 235 tire that makes it rub, not the 8" wheel. So the safest route will then be 8" with 225 tire. There is also a 7.5" option but i just feel like I'm wasting my money buying a 7.5" when an 8" is available. But I also hate wheels that stick out past the tire which im thinking would happen on a 225 mounted on a 8" wheel. Mazda's Rays wheels are 7.5...maybe they know what they are doing?

225 on 7.5 is prolly what you are looking for. Thing about 225/40 is that it a little smaller than stock diameter, but you have coilovers to take care of that problem. :D
