Wheel fitment issue??????????

I have my MSP wheels with 215/50/17 tires I picked up for free. Im putting them on my 2001 Protege ES. Doesnt seem to fit in the rear. Maybe could use a spacer. Never dealt with this before. Anyone????

huh, weird.... oem tire size is 215/45-r17 so i don't see why it wouldn't work? Only difference with yours is that there is a little more rubber from rim to tread.

It is rubbing on the inside I believe on the spring perch in the rear

Yeah, get like 40 series tires. there to meaty... You could also get some 5mm spacers, that my solve it..

No my protege is just my daily. My MSP is lowered. I would like to make theese tires work if possible. The 01 protege is just a daily and Im not looking to get new tires. I got theese 50 series for free.
