Wheel bearing nut size

Hello all,

Does anyone know what size socket fits the wheel bearing nut?

I am doing a brake job, and need to take the rotor off (which requires taking the damn bearing nut off!)

32mm. I bought one from the Northern Tool website...it was the cheapest IIRC. They're pretty expensive for a socket you will only use for one thing!

Yeah! and I am only planning on using it once, since my new rotors are not going to be bolted down by it! gunna borrow it from a friend hopefully!

You don't have to remove the wheel bearing nut to remove the rotor. After the caliper is removed, the rotor should come off. If it doesn't, it's seized on the hub and will require some effort to take off.

Doh! Didn't know for sure.. the casting on the rotor made it look like it went under the bearing nut. My new rotors don't have the casting down that low. That b**** is on there! (I'm pretty sure they're the originals)

just give it a good kick and it should break loose or hit it with rubber mallet. they are floating rotors.

My Pro's rotors were stuck on pretty tightly and wouldn't come off even after poundingn with a sledgehammer. Spraying PB Blaster into the little hole in the hat of the rotor worked well.
