Hi. recently my car was making a wierd grinding noise at my wheel and then the brake pad physically fell out and it was wedged between the rotor and the metal plate. i brought it to my dealership to get repairs and they claimed there is no warranty because they need to replace the rotor, brake pad, and maybe the caliper. that was fine with me but the thing that is bothering me is that they are taking my car away for a week or longer and there not going to give me a curtousy car or even reemburse me if i rented a car. and the thing is they only have one curtousy car available. should i file a complaint or how would you guys handle this situation? thanks

i don't understand why it's not covered under warranty, unless they claim the damage occured because you kept driving after you noticed something was wrong, and that caused the damage (although i don't know if even that would negate the warranty).

also, like pdhaudio said, i don't know why it should take a week to fix either. sounds like a few hours work to me.??? :wtf:

if it has a full warr left and you bougt it thry a real mazda dealer then they need to give you a rental and paid for by them at 22 bucks a day. i have taken in mine to get a sunroof reset that was a aftermarket non dealer item and the dealer gave me a rental, always does. id b****, cause thats bulls***. and a week? no they are lliars. takes an hour to do front brakes. they are full o s***.
