What's the name of the plastic cover in the door's lower part?

Mazda CX 9 2010 GT
Long story:
I just bought a use Mazda CX 9 2010 Grand Touring. Obviously, having bought it "as-is" I have to fix everything that arises after I took it out of the dealership. Couple of days ago, while driving the highway I heard a noise, like something falling or as if I had ran over a plaque. I pulled over, noticed that nothing was wrong with my car, it was in the night, raining, and it's a black cx9, I resumed my journey.

As I don't use the car too often its just until today that I noticed I'm missing that part of the driver's door! I'm asking the name of it in case I can find it and install it myself. Or if its too expensive, have a great meeting with the sales person at the dealership for having sold me the car like that. Not expecting to win, but at least I can express my frustration on someone.

Thanks for your help!!

Mazda calls it "Door Side Moulding" also it's under Garnish (LEFT for driver side) "STONE GUARD & SIDE PROTECTORS"

Based on your post, I'm assuming it's for your driver side door plastic panel, Mazda p/n TD1151RB0H, here you go :

you'll also need to buy the plastic clip p/n TD12-51-SJ3A to install it , sorry I'm not sure how many clips you need,

That's the one!!! Dude, you are awesome!
Do you think a regular dude can install this or should I be going to the dealer/body shop?
This is how my car looks like now...I know...it hurts to look at =(

you're very welcome, you can easily install that yourself and save some money,
looks like you need 13 total clips (8 on the top row and 5 on the bottom row)

first you need to remove the old clips that are still there (I see four), either yank them out slowly or cut them off :

then you install the new clips to the loose new panel first, then line the clip "spears" to their respective holes on the door
and give each clip a good push with your hand, it should drive the clip "spears" in and lock in place,
I think a good push with the open palm will drive the new panel in, no need for a rubber mallet (it may leave an imprint on your brand new panel)

After that, use Turtle Wax Black Wax spray and a microfiber towel on all the panels all around the CX-9,
this way all the panels will match perfectly as the new panel might be slightly darker since it's brand new and not faded yet like the rest of the panels.

Amazing! This are definitively good news for me. I will definitively do as suggested. Not really sure why it fell off but its good to hear that I can fix it myself.
Thanks indeed, much obliged!

One last thought, I just cleaned the door and I'm noticing a slight bent on it, which triggers my paranoia that maybe the car had a previous bump there, and the repairman didn't pull the bent out and that's why it only had those 4 clips holding the plastic. But I'm not sure if that door part is just like that, hence my paranoia.

Here are some more pics I took of it:

If so, I'm definitively talking to the sales people, as to why I was not informed about it, not sure if it will work though...

Ok, just talked to the dealership, they will take a look at the service department and hopefully I'll get a good explanation and fix for it.

I have a feeling it got bumped at low speed and instead of fixing it right someone just slapped the plastic piece back on and didn't bother replacing the broken plastic clips. From the pictures it looks like there is some bend in the door that shouldn't be there.

"instead of fixing it right someone just slapped the plastic piece back on and didn't bother replacing the broken plastic clips."

Agreed, it looks like that's what happened, either got bumped and just slapped it back on,
or the previous owner parked right up against a high curb and when he opened the door too forcefully
the bottom edge of the plastic piece got jammed and stuck into the high sidewalk and when he yanked the door back to close,
the panel and clips got ripped off and he just slapped the panel back on with the remaining good clips.

I bet it got hit, and the panel you lost got most of the clips damaged at the same time. but it was still holding on, so they left it. And you unfortunately were driving when the last few clips let go, and lost the panel.

My vote is replace the panel, and get new clips, and slap it on. I bet it will hold and not be a worry again. Those clips dont really like to be removed if you have ever worked with them. They are a PITA. About he only way to remove them without damage is popping the inner door panel off, and squeezing the tip from the inside of the door to get them to release.
