What's the big number above odometer?

Hi all

I just got a 2007 Mazda cx9 and there is a number when I drive that goes from 1-5 it's right above the odometer below the gears. Anyone know what it is?

It should go from 1 to 6 and that is indicating your trans shifts. From 1st to 6th gear, since you have a 6 speed automatic
