What would be the Best DVD player w/ LCD

HI guys! just wanna ask some few questions that might help me with my upgrade..my head unit is a 2 din stock of the protege (it has 2 big knobs..1 for the volume and power and the other is for tuning and audio adjustment)
a) Is the stock unit has outputs to connect with the amp?
b) Does it have jack for iPod comapatibility?
c) Hope you have some pix on how to detached the stock head unit.
d) what would be the size of the stock unit if converted into an LCD monitor?
I've been searching a lot on what head unit would i install. I'm looking for a 2 din dvd player with LCD like the kenwood DDX7017. What would you suggest ?

Alpine may have one coming out in Feburary, it should best all others. Eclipse makes a nice unit. Kenwood tosses the salad.

wouldn't the size of the of the stock hu not mean a ******* thing if u put a lcd where it used to be and then the size would be the same size of the lcd

i think he is wondering what the size of a double din opening is so he can buy an lcd that fits, but i may be wrong cause his posts are very unclear

if it's a flip up monitor, it would be the size of the flip up monitor -- when it's put away, it would be "1 DIN" or half the size of your current HU (headunit)

the kenwood is a "2 DIN" or the same size of your current HU

if you are worried if it will fit, the DIN size will let you know if it fits...

i have know idea why you want the dimentions for.
