what type of exhaust??

hey, i have about 350-400 to spend on an exhaust but i don't know what one to choose. i wanna go 3in but 2.5 will do. i would prefer turbo back but cat back is ok aswell. so if you have any suggestions thanks for the help. i want a nice throaty sound and i don't want it to be quiet. please post links as well.

I think the HKS carbon fiber muffler is a good buy. If my memory serves me right, there might be a group buy going on for them. I'm too lazy to do a search, but yeah. check it out. My friend has the same exhaust on his Subaru, and it's not quiet, but it's not an irritating loud. It has a nice, deep, bassy sound to it.

i dont think you will find a turbo back for 400. maybe one or 2 catbacks for that price..but nothing fancy.

unless he goes to a muffler shop and has them do one, but it most likely wont be mandrel bent if that doesn't bother him, you can probably get a 3 inch turbo back made for like 300 maybe less

yeah. agreed. if you are going custom just pick out a nice muffler and let them do the rest of the piping.

check out corksport, they've got a system that gets rid of both cats, and goes all the way back. It's only 389.

If you're going to get a crush bent, why bother? Crush bent 3" would help... but why not save up a little and go for mandrel bent?

i went to nopi.com and found a magnaflow cat back for under $400. anybody have this or heard anything bout it?

The magnaflow is only $328 at nopi. Too bad it's only 2.25"

save up for a nice exhaust. it'll be worth it in the end. shop around town and see what the prices are on a custom job as well as prices online for catbacks. you won't be able to get a turboback for $400. corksport's dp-back comes close though. visit my exhaust thread to hear all the currently offered systems for the msp.
