what to do?

ok so i joined this board after reading about the ms3. i was a srt neon owner before. very happy and loved my car heres a pic
oh yeah check the fmic

so far i like the way the ms3 looks and what you get for the money but my friends are pushing me towards the caliber (god feels like a mini van) srt4. to me its just not in the same league as the neon. ill admit in my eyes when the neon srt came out it set the bar. got laughed at for being a neon but had the muscle to kick the ass of those who did laugh. now the ms3 has toned downed looks (could be mistaken for a mazda 3 while no mistaking the srt) but has options the srt could only dream of (hid, led tails etc). i loved how the srt seemed to be a slut (took whatever mod you gave it and loved it) while the ms3 seems to be a bit of a prude with all the fuel cuts and what not.

i know im gonna get the "F" the st get ms3 here but its just abitch to decide.

why did i ever sell my neon? especially that i owned it out right. oh well im gonna test drive both this week. maybe that will help make up my mind.

sorry pointless post, p.s i really do like this forum, more so then my old forum for the neon, so maybe even if i do get a csrt ill stay here and be a narc lol

Hell, I'd buy a BMW even though they are considered snobby drivers. So long as I like the BMW.

Please read up on the new srt. I feel bad that an excellent engineering team SRT had a poor platform to develop sure its got motor that wants to kick ass, but thats about it. A downgrade from the neon. I was worried about this car being direct competition for us. But eehh not so much.

ok so tuesday i drive them both. i have done a ton of reading on both. my thoughts now.

ms3 very cool, less of showoff looks, and less of the american interior style that we all know and love (lol2). looks more like a car, and has plenty of potential.

csrt- has that in your face front end that i loved about my nsrt, mods seem pretty cheap but limited thus yet but so are the ms3's. pros more room (i have a family and a gigantic dog) and it has some cool little features too. either way i like them both price is almost the same, and which ever way i go ill definitely be part of both communities as i like both cars. so thanks for the imput. and ill post my reviews of both this week when i test drive them both and compare them to my past cars especially the neon.

ok all done for now lol

oh and the wife has to approve either as we share and she drives a loaded h3x. cant have her borrow a car she doesnt like.

I would go with the MS3 I dont own one yet so Im really not that baised towards them but they handle much better numbers wise plus the SRTs have at least in my experience been very poor on relaibility and i have worked on a few now, and even completely rebuilt the engine to one.

All in all of course get the one that makes you happy and works best for your lifestyle. MS3 though seems like a safer car.

the caliber SRT4 is nowhere near as cool as the neon SRT4 is or ever was. i can't say i am the biggest fan of 'skittles' either but neon SRT4s were mean little cars with loads of potential for a good price.

we all have to face it - the caliber will likely see as much or more aftermarket support as the mazdaspeed3. its a domestic car, traditional injection and after rebates/discounts may end up being cheaper overall. that said, i think the ms3 is a better balanced and better driving car by far.

i love my ms3 with a passion... i like the csrt4 but in my opinion i dont really like sitting higher up in a car and thats why i got the ms3, the csrts look too boxy also in my eyes and not as practical for someone like me... i think dodge shoulda made the avenger an srt... that would probably be more casual as a "compact" sport car...

You can't lose with either. I think both are great cars with tons of performance for the money.

10 years ago no one would have imagined either of these cars (or the SRT-4 Neon) being available.

I wouldn't pick a car based on forum. Drive them both. Then decide.

Do what you want to do, not what your friends want to do. I hate when I see this s***. Seriously, live for yourself and not some douchefags and fizzbitches you hang out with. If your friends rip on you for not getting what you want, kick them in the nuts and find new friends.

Everytime I hear an SRT driver call the car a skittle, I want to ask if they and their skittle buddies go out behind the movie theater or Taco Bell and taste the rainbow with each other.

I agree about avenger but I thought Dodge wanted to produce hot hatch.
