Japan and U.S. groups are working on a better solution. This style of communications is a little unconventional, but if your dealer and Mazda costumer service has no solution by October, give me an email. Thank you for your patience and loyalty.

Thats what he said, word for word :)

this makes me think there will actually be a september "fix"

aka, see how long the "sept fix" works and if something doesnt happen by october, email me! :D

haha nice.

ask him why he didn't design a turbo on my car yet? =p

what i heard from the NTB guy is that our MP3s were modified with stiffer suspension with stock parts, that may be the reason why end link bushings or other components can't hold sway bar tight and generate annoying sounds...but i have never switch to special material end link bushings...so i don't know whether it is ture of what the machenic said...

"this style of noise and the fact that Mazda skimped out on cheap parts, against Racing Beats recomendations, is not unconventional. Your loyalty will go unrewarded. Enjoy your $hitty expensive suspension"

(lol)

I notice you didn't include the email address.

The problem is mazda is still attempting to fix the bushings as if they are the cause of the clunk. They are not! The bushing wearing out are a effect of an improperly designed suspension.

THEY ARE TRYING TO **** YOU!
Its simple, if people only b**** that there is a noise then they will find the least expensive way to stop the noise and the actual problem will go unadressed. I still can't believe racing beat just won't produce there original setup for sale.

Something else is going on here that we don't know about!

Yep, you're right Craig, everytime I go into the dealer and chat with them (they know me by name now, and I didn't even buy the car there) I tell them how the biggest problem isn't the noise, but the basically the lack of a swaybar once the noise starts...the noise is caused by the bushings not being in constant contact with the bar, thus the bar is basically inactive/less effective when not in constant contact with the bushings (that whole eng design thing), thus, the whole purpose of our car (the handling) is being screwed up and that's what I have a real problem with. Damn I hate that I always feel the need to chime in on these threads; it gets me all lathered up...sorry fellas

Nice double post. Who cares if racing beat wants money, no one said they should give the c\part away. Its hardly there fault Mazdas "Experts" hacked the bajesus out of there design.
HOwever since they allowed it to happen I think producing the parts to solve this for the aftermarket is the least they can do.

the clunk is the rear swaybar bushing you put any good ruber and not more clunk this take 15 minutes or less
what is the problem

:bs:
They have been replacing bushings for 2 years now. Every material imaginable has been tried and nothing stops it. Within a month damn near any bushing will wear out to s***.

Its a suspension design flaw not a poor selection of bushing.

well, ill prolly be emailing that guy again then, but i hear a whole new back suspension worked for mr whoever in canada

Give it time.
Even the same bushing can be replaced and it will be clunk free for up to 3 months. He has had that on a very short time.

I know what's causing the clunk...my friend heard it while riding in my car for the first time and said, "JT, I think you're dragging a toddler and his bicycle under your car." So everyone, check your car for kids and bikes.

HAS ANYONE THOUGHT OF THIS:

Perhaps we are merely being placated. Maybe they don't plan to actually fix it. I suggest beginning something a little more aggressive than email.

I'm guessing he lives somewhere in either the US, or Canada - I know we have a great deal of members on this forum. Surely someone must live near this person. Perhaps if a member who is experiencing the problems could actually drive out to meet him, either formally at work, or informally at his residence ( I've heard services like Anywho work ok, but you would be surprised what you can do with newsgroups and google ). He sounds very willing to help, maybe some forum members could lend a hand, or at the very least, provide them with a few example cars that are daily drivers, modded and unmodded - to come up with a faster solution.

You all probably think I'm crazy, but when November rolls around, and this still hasn't been fixed..... I digress.
