My buddy just got one for his ford zx2, he thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread. And the worst part about it is, his car is now faster than mine, what the hell is this thing. Should i buy one?

it's a hair blower for your intake, it makes 0.0000256 psi at high boost

I'm wondering could someone have a Turbonator/Sri or CAI combination..and possible push more horsepower, due to more air flowing through to the throttle body..? (evil)

All it does is cause a restriction in the intake.

Things in the way of air = slow it down

If anything he will lose hp.

actually let me rephrase that. i bet i can fit about 10 of them with all the piping, the air will have no chance but to be turbonated.

Its supposedly supposed to 'swirl' the air to increase velocity to give more performance and fuel economy.

Heres a install pic from their site.

$69.95!!!!!!! I thought it was like 20 bucks. The theory behind it is real, you can pass more fluid through a tube if the fluid is spinning. However, most engines don't suck down enough air for this to be worth while.

its like a pinwheel or a windmill inside your intake
Except I don't believe it has any moving parts. By the way, just out of curiosity, where along the intake are these things installed? Before or after the MAF, etc?
