I would think it would be more benefitial on a fwd car, since most of the weight is consentrated in the front, taking some of that away would get you closer to 50/50 weight distribution, and better handling.

Second, simple physics applies to the cf hood. it doesnt matter where the hell the cf is or what it replaces. the simple fact is youre removing weight from the car, therefore requiring less power to move the mass of the vehicle.
