What kind of a difference would this make?

As far as I understand it, the stock MS3 exhaust system goes like this:

Turbo -> Downpipe -> First Cat -> Midpipe -> Second Cat -> CBE -> resonator -> muffler -> exhaust tip

is that correct?

So say you have a catless downpipe and test pipe mated to the stock CBE section. How much louder (mainly inside cabin noise) would it be if the resonator were removed? I could care less about exterior noise, but I don't want a droning interior.

Does the test pipe have a cat? how large is the exhaust? 2.75-3"?

Yes, it will be much louder if all cats and resonators are removed.
 
The first cat, on the down pipe is huuge and very restrictive. Then the test pipe also has a cat. I believe the stock exhaust is a 2.5" but I didnt measure it so its either 2.5 or 2.75 inch. If you get a catless DP with the stock CBE it should be slightly louder and much deeper.

I already have the catless dp and tp. I am wondering how much of a difference it would make to remove the resonator.

Resonator doesn't restrict airflow much (if thats why you want to remove it)so unless you want your car to be as loud as possible I wouldnt.
 
The stock exhaust is known to be relatively free-flowing already, I don't see any benefit whatsoever in removing a resonator unless you want more noise.
