what is this & where does it go?

i am doing a MSP brake swap to my MP5 and i dont know where these go if they go to the brakes where does it go . so anybody that can help let me know. wilson

they sorta look like anti rattle clips that are placed over the pads in the calipers but they have a different shape then the ones I took out of my MSP.

My audi used to have those. They're front caliper springs that connected the outside face of the caliper to the caliper carrier.

MSP's (at least mine) doesn't have them.

I think he's messin' with us. That definitely looks like what was on the A4, A6 and Passats.

when i got the calipers they were in the bag so i thought they went with the car. s*** i could have bled the system already and been driving around. thanks guys i just wanted to make sure before i finished to up.

a member on the fourm a long time ago. have been waiting to do the swap. i was able to do the swap at a cost of $220 for pads, rotors, and the calipers.
