Why would a non-bose car have the harness?

Was that english? Sorry I have no idea what you are asking. If you want a stock subwoofer you can't just hook one up. It only comes with the Bose system and gets its signal from another Bose amplifier under the seat. Your only real option is to add an aftermarket subwoofer or forget you ever saw that connector.

Why would a non-bose car have the harness?

Because mazda probably prewires all of the cars with that harness to avoid manufacturing confusion issues and those slated for bose get it and others just dont. I have a feeling the other side is under the front seat.
