What is the front splitter everyone has on the forum?

I've seen quite a few pics of Mazda 3 sedans and hatchbacks with front splitters on the forum. I can't find any out there except a 3-piece universal splitter. Anyone have a source for splitters?

Do you have a picture of the one that you are talking about specifically?

The one I am referring to is made by Speedline. I want one that is actually going to create downforce, not just look good. Anyone know of any other brands that fit the bill?

Some of us actually track our cars. Therefore, I'm looking for a splitter/aero that fits our car and actually creates down force. Does any one out there know of one? Do any sponsors on the site manufacture one?

well heres the issue. Putting a front splitter directly onto the bumper doesnt exactly create downforce. It just makes the bumper flex as you hit speed. for a splitter to work as you would want it. It would have to be tied into the support of the car. If you really wanted a splitter thats functioning. Get a carbon fiber splitter from APR and build a mount to hook it to the rail behind the bumper.

P.S. the splitter you see is more than likely the DIY Home Depot splitter

Exactly Bmies...I have seen the APR splitter installed on cars, unfortunately there is no way around the need for the 2 external installing rods. I'm not a fan of that look, but it appears there is no other choice for the 2007 Mazda 3 at this point. I was hoping there was an alternative solution. Thanks for the feedback!
