Does anyone know the "actual" outer diameter of the stock turbo inlet? Anyone have it accessible right now where the could measure it? It's not actually 2", but somewhere around 2.125" and 2.250".

I just don't want take everything off again to measure it!

How accurate do you need to be? What's the application?

2" is what everyone says, but thats not right. I'd like it to be +-1/16 of an inch. I'm building a turbo inlet that fits better than the ATP one. I need to order the right reducer, but a 2" reducer is very tight on there.

Ah, yeah. I've built a turbo inlet and I agree that 2" is a little tight on it, but does fit and is the most readily available size.

Even if it was 2.0625", what can you find to fit that?

No, i'm thinking more like 2.125 or 2.25.

2 1/8 I would say. I heated my 2 inch silicone elbow and used an exhaust pipe stretcher on it. It does fit but it will fight you every mm of the way.

I'd rule out 2.25" because that's too large.

I honestly don't think anyone has tried anything other than 2". So it's probably up to you to be the guinea pig, which isn't always bad.

My 2" wasn't bad at all to put on. It didn't slip right on, but not bad.

Gawd dam it, I had all that crap appart 3 times and I didn't ever measure the dam turbo inlet? Man. this friecken sux donkey arse. (Sorry Swamass).

Ok, I guess I'm the friecken lab rat.

Any pics of your custom inlets and fittament?

Over on 6club there's a thread called "Speedie6's Turbo Inlet Pipe" there's a few other guys who made them in there too.

Here is mine as of today, Tigg'ed last night, but the polishing kit will be here next week to clean it back up.

It is 2.5" od aluminum. The left side goes to a Cobb SRI (2 3/8" silicone coupler). The right goes to a 2.5" to 2.0" silicone 90 degree elbow. Thats it. 2 pieces for a grand total of $54. The clamp for the elbow rests against the cdfp or something over there (bolted to the head) but, it clears the battery box. In fact it clears by enough that if I still had the MSCAI I would try to make it in 2.75" not 2.5". You want the left lower leg to measure 2", center 4.25", right 2-3" on the short sides and all angle cuts are at 10 degrees.

Sorry for the eh so so cell phone pics in giant size Its the best I can do at work.
