Buick Regal... w000000t
Hey guys, you've probably seen me postin around, lookin' to get my mazda soon (boom06) and am just wondering, what is it about your speeds that make you love them so much?

I am just curious, for me, it's all that you get with the car, and i took it for a test drive and had so much fun, and mazda pwnz, and w00t garret turbo! huge!

I'd love to hear what you peeps got think about your cars! Thanks

^ yup

i love the fact that i'm hauling ass and lookin' good at the same time. also when that turkey comes out...it's like...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

givin it gas a lower rpm and feeling the turbo spool...you can get that from any turbo car though, I love it!

Like all of the others have said the looks, performance, handling at a decent price. But, the big one for me is the rarity. No, 4750 wasn't an ultra low production run, but the fact that it came in the last year of production makes it a little more rare. My point is that I rarely see another Speed on the road and it's even less common to see another Orange one. (Especially considering I have two of the like five or six on the Island in my drive. lol.)

Anyhow, when I do see another Speed I usually know the owner from our club and if not I always get a wave if not actualy stopping to converse.

Bottom line I just love the car and everything that comes along with owning it. Well, except for the payment. lol.

i love the feedback the car gives you. when i take high speed turns i know exactly when the car is gonna start to slide/skip and how much. i have absolutely no doubt in my mind the car will do what i want it to do, and it gives me great confidence and trust in the car.

theres nothing better than passing 350Z on the outside on a 2 lane off ramp. My friend doesn't have the same trust bond factor that this car gives me.

Well I finally got my speed yesterday... Delivered to a town about 700km (400 miles) from my home town. Long story as to why I got the car in another city, so I'll save that story for another thread.

I drove that speed for 10 minutes and I felt at home in it right away.

The 7 hour drive home at different speeds and from wet to dry roads and even snow (melting on contact) the car behaved and responded as good as any I have driven before.

The stereo "awesome" and being passed by a truck followed by a Subaru (in full rally gear) then accelerating and following at speeds near 80mph (radar detector plugged in) left a smile on my face from ear to ear.

This car is great, people take notice, handling, power, room for friends, its all there. This is one great package.

You may have read about all the querks, don't let it get to you. Deal with it, and have fun.

cornering at uberfast speeds, passing ricer civics (for s**** & giggles), very sweet stock stereo system, beautiful lines......

did I mention cornering!!! LOL!!!!

I love the look people give me when i drive by them. kinda like "woah ive never seen a car like that before, its awesome!" the random people that walk up to you and just start talking bout the car. never got that when i had my b16 crx (rlaugh) . and ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes, the handling!!!!!

I never hear things like " Oh man, this s*** is sooo fast!" Like I would if I owned an srt-4 or a wrx or something else. I"ll always hear, I love those cars man, damn that thing looks good, is it fast? Then when I take them for rides, "I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!" To me, that is the reason I still love my car.

For me it's the spicy orange paint. If I couldn't get it in orange I wouldn't have gotten it. Yeah that's a dumb reason....but still....aside from the paint it's not that much different than the other cars I've owned.

Knowing I can handle better than almost every car I see (& proving it by flying through the corners), knowing that it's unique, boosting past everything on the road :p , & walking up to my car & being amazed by how beautiful it is every time I see it. :D

Yup. Despite my many "issues" I've come across with the car, even some very large mechanical ones, I'm still in love with it. Why? The paint. The lines. The paint. The standout-ness. The paint.

I like the fact that it doesn't look stock, but it everything goes together. I always thought that the Protege looked muscular for a small car, but the rims, wing, and skirts really add a lot. Having a turbo from the factory and not having to add one later is a bonus. I like how many people confuse it for a Mazda6 so it must not look like a crappy econo car. It also was one of the few cars that fit me perfectly from the placement of the shifter to pedals, steering wheel, and the seats.

One of the guys at my school thought my car was a Mazda 6 too & was surprised when I told him it was a Protege.

(humpleg) Man i am totally pumped on getting it now, i even quite like the yellow

and also other wicked news, is my friends uncle owns a paint shop out in chilliwack, he said i could get the whole thing done in any colour i want for like $600, and he does a really good job, i saw my friends car re-painted black, looked excellent until it got t-boned :(

but yeah, new paint job.... shnoogins
