Before you go buying possibly unnecesary parts, check for boost leaks. Check every joint along the intake path up to the intake manifold. If you air leaks after the maf, your ECU will think your engine is seeing a ton of air when it's not really.
My tach reads a 7600 redline? I don't know how, it's any aftermarket tach so i would like to believe it over the factory. Like I said the car is ******* weird thats why i'm rebuilding it.
Sounds like you have a tach/speedo that were built to make you think you are going Crazay Fast! Honestly if you were going 157 mph in the MSP you were probably at like 7600 rpm. if it is a 1 to 1 gearbox then the top speed @ 7k rpm Should be 149 mph. I would feel bad for the motor @ 157 mph lol
