What is a good sensitivity setting?

I just installed a RF Punch stage2 8" to replace the kenwood and am trying to get the most out of it.

On the stock sub amp. What setting does the knob come from factory? Mine is straight up the middle right now, can't remember without looking at the markings but I think it is between .5 and .3 volts, so .4 i guess. Is this supposed to be the max voltage that the head unit will output?

Also, will turning up the NF very far cause clipping from the headunit? This will basically give the same effect as turning the sensitivity, right?

Turning up the NF setting is like a second volume control. Turning up the volume control will eventually cause distortion. If you have volume at 12 and NF at +14 it won't distort. If you have NF at +14 and volume at 24 it probably will be distorting.

So anyone know what the stock amp sensitivity is normally set at? Or what voltage the headunit sends to the amp?

Ok, So I know I am running my sub at 4ohms, and the sub is supposedly capable of 200watts rms, but what is the rms for our amps so that I could try this method to test for the correct voltage?

From the thread you linked:
Sqrt(Power*Resistance) = Voltage
(i.e. If you bridge a 4 ohm subwoofer to your amplifier that is rated to produce 100 RMS @ 4 ohms in bridged mode, you would want Sqrt(4*100) = 20 volts)
