Removed the windsplitter from the front bumper cover and test fit my DG lip I've had lying around since last June. Man, the fitment on this thing sucks! I was hoping I'd be able to get everything to line up myself and just leave it on until I get it painted but that's not going to happen. I'll just take it to a body shop and let them do the work now.

mine lined up pretty well, just had to get the edges of it pushed in to be flush with the fenders. what isnt lining up for you?

It lines up alright - there's just a lot of excessive gaps. If I close the gaps in the front then the sides poke out and vice versa. I'm hoping a shop will know what to do.

It did look good though. I can't wait to get it painted and mounted permanently. I'm going to have the top half painted classic red and the bottom painted and flat or satin black.

That will be hot. I like the red and black idea with the front lip.

Sorry to hear about the fitment.
Yep, good looks and purpose - the bottom is more than likely going to get scratched up so I see no point painting it something bright.

Only a few more exterior mods lined up: remove side moulding, paint rear valence, remove roof rack and get CF/FG vented hood (will be painted).

^^^ Yep, I'm eyeing that one as well but I'm debating if I just want to get it in FG because I'll be painting it anyway.

yea good idea with the bottom, after only 3 months with mine on over the summer it got scratched a few times. its nothing terrible but its black so its harder to notice.

There's only one CF hood for me, this one: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2974196&postcount=2

The reverse cowl hood.....drooooool.

I've been eyeing that hood for years... I told myself that i'd have to wait till I get the whole car repainted, then I'd also look into a body kit, but I'm really picky on that stuff and I like the stock kit so maybe just a CF lip.

I'll have to wait until we PCS back to the lower 48, no sense in repainting in a place that uses quarry dirt on the roads during the winter...

got the heatshield off from between the resonator and shifter, just needed a little love, but, no more rattle!!!

And, i have gained a DEFINITE pop from the right rear when i swerve right to left, whenever the weight shifts.

I snapped some pics and don't know if the Tokico's were already bent like this??

But, i did also notice i was missing a rubber gasket on teh AWR's, so, that would be the source of the popping?

If so, i can live with it, just want to know if that's what is causing it

anyone??

Looks like you need longer endlinks after the drop. I ripped a tab off of one of my coilovers from the added stress and it looks like your well on your way.

Usually the bar should be closer to parallel to the ground and he just put a prokit on it so the tab is now 1.5" higher than it was meant to be.

My Tokicos look just like that. Now whether mine are bent is another question because I too ran with AWR endlinks for a while. My bar was a lot closer to being parallel with the ground however, so my endlinks were adjusted to be quite a bit longer.
