I was burnt by my friend with a hatch that had some stupid JDM motor swap in it...to compensate for the loss, i raced some electric blue....purple looking to me...prelude. He definately had mods such as CAI, headers, port n polish, junk like that. Anyway, his automatic stood nothing against the great and powaful speed....(smash) We got up to about 120 and then he started to inch really fast so i let off and he knew i was done. He gave me the thumbs (2thumbs) and i pulled over at a local BK to celebrate...
What guys have been beat by a honda in their mazdaspeeds?

well its funny.. ive spanked a rsx-s no problem.. ive also spanked a 350z (guessing he couldn't drive, becuz i thought he was gonna own me) also beat a 240sx, and every lil honda on the road, never had the chance to mess with a s2000 cuz half the ppl that own them are so old they wouldn't dare mess up there sunday afternoon driver ;op. I also raced a Evo VIII and i was quite impressed that i didn't lose by as much as i thought i would.
oh mod wise all i have is injen cai, greddy profec b boost controller, im pushing anywhere between 10 - 13 occasionally 14 psi depending on the temp/humidity. everything else is pretty much stock.. oh i also have sparkco ignition wires.. nuffin special really. pretty soon i'll have joe p reducer and defencer and 1st mp3 nh ground kit, but other than that nuffin special.

yep i agree with joe, give me till about christmas and i'd say i could whoop up on a stock evo vIII no problem im not far off it right now, and i sure as hell think joe could right now probably.

I had a great time with an S2000 once...he couldn't pull on me in time or fast enough to make it to the exit that he needed to get to...he had to slow up and move over, instead of overtaking and getting in front...ha!
Now, of course it's a different story if we were running flat out, over a bridge, etc. (I'm in Tampa after all, plenty of those!). The low to midrange (with that driver at least) was laughable...it was still a fun stretch though, and just goes to show that on the street, the more 'streetable' car was the better one - at least that day. Interstate, different game.
