true....thats why the bottom part was going to be flat black so i could touch it up.... but does that happen a lot or just like once a year? could you do me a favor and take a side view and front view of the car with the lip? so i can kinda get an idea as to how low it does sit.

03.5 looks best, its balanced, it flows with the rest of the car. the DGM is just too much crap on the front end, looking from the side it sits closer to the ground than the rest of the car, it just looks wrong.

It only has to happen once to ruin your day :D First off, let me say that I LOVED the look of this lip, I just wasn't willing to fork out a couple hundred bucks each time it got a scratch (I'm anal). I had a premier shop paint the lip - they used a flex agent and matched the paint perfectly. I had the lip on when the car was at stock height only (as it is in these pictures). Right away, my wife discovered that the lip would not clear parking blocks  . Now imagine taking things down another inch or two .... Our Pros have a looong nose and this causes additional issues on steep driveways. I've had plenty of slammed vehicles in the past and know the special attention required to drive them, but I found myself scraping the lip at low speeds and at random times (on a weekly basis). To further drive the point home, aside from some steep driveways, most of the roads in my area are skate-park smooth. When I bought my P5, the front end was scraped up from a close encounter with a curb by the previous owner, so I needed to cover it up anyway.

hmm....thanks for the pics... my car is about 2" lower than stock... that sucks cause i love the look of this lip, just hate that id be scratched up al the time. i planned on using rattle can flat black for the bottom half of the lip...so i could just sand and respray when it gets scratched up. im still not sure on what to do. but i do love the look of this lip. did you ever have problems with it cracking or breaking?

The lip cracking or breaking? - no. Urethane is tough, flexible stuff. This however, makes it hard for the paint - even with a healthy addition of flex agent. If you bend the lip in one place, it may crack the paint somewhere else that is close (take a close look at the first picture I posted).

damn patrick....i really like how the P5 looks with those jdm tails and msp wheels. The lights flow better with the car imo. reps:)

Also, I used to have a dgm front lip and liked it but, the lip does hang low and gets beat up even if you are a very careful driver.
here is a picture

Thanks! Nothing current - but this will be changing soon. Here's one in the theme of the thread, and one a couple months old. I sold my fogs on the P5 and am adding the 03.5 lip this weekend.
