What do I need to match a 350z/MS3/SRT-4?

All Stock 03 MSP.
I am getting Vibrant turbo back exhaust, Injen CAI, Corksport FMIC, AWR Motor mounts, a boost controller, a turbo timer, and a forged Wastegate Actuator, gauges, and a hard pipe so I can get a BOV installed. And a Stage 1 clutch when the stock clutch goes bad.

Planning to up the boost to 10psi.

What other parts do I need to run 10 psi?
And what would I need to get a 0-60 time of at the most 5.7 seconds?

I am on a budget so I cannot afford the Forged Pistons and Rods so 10psi is the most I can go safely on stock internals as far as I know.

Engine has 63,000 miles on it. Clutch is good.
I do not know that much about turbo engines so try to explain some things.

Some sort of tuning, Split second works very well on MSP's.
intake mani...626 should do you some good.
SRT-4 you already got...probably stock.
MS3 you should have with those mods.
350z might take a bigger turbo.
s*** I wonder how I would fair against a 350z

According to some sites, the stock 0-60 time for the msp is 6.9 seconds at best.

The SRT-4 stock is 5.9.
The mazdausa.com site says the MS3 is 5.5 seconds.
The 03-05 350z is 5.8 seconds and the 06-09 350z is 5.2 seconds.

So there is no chance I can beat them stock.

And every part I get has to be street legal so I can pass inspection.
I have to keep the cats unfortunately. Vibrant Turbo back exhaust is street legal and gives 4-7HP and 19-21 lb-ft torque, which is great, but not enough for under 6 seconds.

With my mods, at 8psi on the superstock map on the AFC i was dead even with a 3.5L Altima with a intake, exhaust and i dunno what else through 3rd and 4th gear. I started to pull just barely at the end of 4th, so i bet i would have walked on him at 10psi. Dunno if that helps you or not.

I am trying to do the same thing. I'll be happy if I can beat a srt-4 cause I hate them. keep us updated on how this turns out as you get things installed :D

i think you forgot to add "prayers that things don't break" to that list

ditch the turbo timer and put that money towards something to control your air/fuel ratios.

with all of those parts you'll be close enough that it'll be more dependent on the driver than the car. assuming the other cars are stock of course. don't get hung up on numbers and who you can beat. modify your car, make it quick, and enjoy it. there's always going to be someone faster

if straight line performance is what interests you though the MSP is the wrong platform. to compete with those other cars stock you're going to be stretching yours to the limit until you spend a good chunk of change on a new engine. if you get hung up on straight line numbers you'll never like your car because it's never going to be a superstar

Seriously how many times has this subject been covered? I can speak from my own personal experience that you should walk those cars like that. I know I do. Stage 2 srt-4, 350z with full nismo exhaust and a pop charger and a ms3 with gutted exhaust and an intake. Our cars are faster than everyone thinks do your mods get an s pipe, do a liteweight flywheel when you do the clutch get a ssafc and run 12lbs of boost.

well its not as easy as upping the boost lol. gotta get all the supporting mods first ;D. plus it's more fun that way.

edit: getting supporting mods that is.

srt4 - with light mods those would spank us
ms3 - same thing
350z - good race if you have full mods

our turbo screws us in straight races. it just falls off too early which gives every one of those an advantage except for the z.

i love the way my car looks but as far as speed, its just the wrong platform unless you dump money into it

srt-4's are s***. it's a dodge...seriously.

I know we all hate SRT-4s (blarf).... but I have seen some really fast ones. With intake and catless downpipe on my MS3 I got spanked by about 3 cars by one. When we were still on the street I could hear his turbo spooling over his exhaust. No, not intake suction sound, spool sound.

So as much as we hate them, they can be very fast. Watch yourself

not arguing they are fast lol, and not looking for straight line monster power, but rather a well rounded, performance-based vehicle -- and guess what? I found it in the MSP which is why I bought it...but you can't in your right mind say its not worth it to want to be faster than an ugly neon; no matter how fast they are from the factory

everyone says these cars can be fast, well yes they can. it just takes more money up front than a srt-4 or ms3 does, but what you are forgetting is to get a srt in the same condition as my msp i would have had to pay 18,000 at the time and i only payed 8,500 so i could take the 9,500 and kill a srt-4 so its all about $$$

who was trying to sell an SRT4 for $18,000 at a time when you could get an MSP for $8,500? i'm pretty sure i remember hearing of people buying new SRT4's for $18,000. i haven't looked but i'd imagine they're around the $10,000 mark now

I am into handling with high speed turns.
The MSP is best choice for that since it is supposedly the best handling FWD car.
But I hate SRT-4's so I would like to be faster.
My friends have 350z and MS3 and I just want to keep up with them when we go driving.

I am not into drag racing-not fun.
Autocross is best.

SRT-4's are still going for $18,000.
I know someone with an SRT-4 with 460whp and runs 1/4 mile in elevens.

I have looked at the prices online for them. Very expensive cars.
I am getting a MSP next week for less than $6,000 with only 63,500 miles.
Spend $8k on mods and it would be a very quick sleeper for $14k with mods and cost of car.
