What did you pay for your factory extended warranty?

I've been shopping around for a car for longer then I would have liked. I have it narrowed down to 2 cars. I went to a Mazda dealer looking at a MS6 GT and was told that the 7/100 warranty would go for about $2000. This price included an additional fee of $150 or $300 to cover the nav system ( I think this is a bs charge, but maybe I am wrong). So I just want to see what everyone else paid for theirs and if they even heard of the additional fee for the nav system.

Thanks
Chris

Nobody has bought an extended warranty on their MS6?

I was quoted the same price for a 100K mile warranty. Its a tough call, pretty reliable car yet as complex as it is could be expensive to fix.

DISI/FSI technology is relatively new. If I buy a MS6 knowing that first year cars are usually the ones to show the most amount of problems and add the fact I would plan to own it for around 10 years I would want be positive if something real expensive breaks I'll be covered.

I got a quote for extending the warranty on my saab an extra 5/60 for $2000. so I think that is about right.

I just bought my Speed 6 last week and managed to get a 5/year 100K mile warranty for $1500. It was part of the deal, I insisted on it for being robbed on my trade. The original quote was just over $2000. The warranty is bumper to bumper for the entire period and includes rental insurance, damage to tires and wheels as well as a number of useful features. The warranty has no deductable. You could get an extended warranty even cheaper depending on how much, if any, you want to pay for a deductable. In any event, I am very pleased with the deal since I generally drive 20-25K miles per year and plan on selling the vehicle while the warranty still has some miles left on it (fully transferrable). Hopefully that will get me top dollar on the open market.

I got my 5 year 100km warranty for 1100. I was lucky though, because the guy misquoted himself @ $1000. He looked at his book after, and it turned out to be $1200. He gave me $100 dollars off instead.

I paid around $2,000 but they wouldn't fix my seat when the back broke. The bastards said it didn't cover "frame work"
