What did you pay for your CX-5?

30,290 OTD, 2014 GT AWD w/ Tech package, roof rails, trunk cover, wheel locks, and all weather floor mats

Great price. It pays to buy the one that has the scratch. ;)

I just noticed "OTD" (out the door), the usually means after tax and all fees. if thats the price then it a phenomenal one.
My price of 30,502 was pre tax and dealer fees.

I would bet that spoogenhatch has not included dealer fees and taxes. Invoice on that vehicle is 30,764 as equipped.

I just got a quote for an OTD price of 30,864 for a GT FWD with Tech, all weather mats and a cargo tray. I think I can get another $100 off.

2014 GT w/Tech and retractable cargo cover. MSRP $31,490, Invoice $30,440.

Agreed on a price of $30,300 but that's with $500 Mazda loyalty rebate.

Finance is 60 months at 2.9%

Should be picking her up early next week.

If you got 2014 GT AWD with tech package for 29,700 (I assume that it includes destination) that is the lowest price I've seen. Over $500 below invoice)

More like 780 under invoice if you count the side rails. This one is difficult for me to believe.

I got a silver 2014 Touring FWD with wheel lock and cargo tray at $27000 OTD, or $200 below invoice b/f tax & TTL. Salesperson said I will be the 1st 2014 model in town.

I have a the same car only with all weather mats and the cargo tray on order and my otd price with 6.2% sales tax is 26168. Invoice on this vehicle is 24,808 the way you have it shown in your post. There must be some hefty taxes in TX. I am thinking that I will up my purchase and get the white GTw/Tech, it is a lot more $$ but I have had my last car for 11 years so I keep them a long time.

What are side rails? Dont think my car has those? That is definitely what I paid with destination. I also used carwoo.com after the fact to figure out how my purchase price compared and I had one dealer offer me that price right off the bat (with destination). So not sure how "great" a deal it really is.

Went with the GT w/Tech for the same reason. We've had a Tribute LX for the past ten years and plan on holding this one just as long. Price of the Tech package is worth it for the adaptive xenons alone, imo. And while neither of us has ever rear-ended a car, if the SCBS saves us once, it's worth it right there.

Side rails=roof rack and I am mistaken about you getting those but $580 under invoice is still the best price I have seen to date but maybe I am missing something. Dealers could blow these out all day long at that price, but why would they? Maybe IL pricing is a lot better than FL.

like I said having a friend working at the dealership helped, I also drove 30 miles to this dealership, with plenty nearby. So they knew the only reason I was there was to get a deal. Check out carwoo.com

jtl: [negotiated (MSRP+destination fee)=$25210] + 6.25% tax + title filing fee $25 + license fee $68 + state inventory tax $57 + state vehicle inspection fee $27 = $27,000. Going by MSRP+destination fee, you have a better deal.

Well, I think my deal is done. White GT w/Tech. Invoice with all weather mats, cargo tray and wheel locks is $2942$1407. I paid 28936 plus actual taxes and registration. The 28936 is after adding back deal prep, ect. so it is truly a real cost figure. Too many people forget about this and quote prices that look real good but then there is another $500 of BS dealer fees on top of that. OTD is a good comparison figure except sales taxes and registration can vary. My OTD was $30864 including 6.3% sales tax and about $142 in transfer/license fees. My math says $49 under invoice. Should have it next week. White was my second choice but it does look pretty classy so it is what it is. "Let The Good Times Roll".

I have a question: I've not seen many people mention whether or not they are trading anything in: it would seem to me that on many, perhaps most trade-ins, there is sufficient wiggle room to allow a dealer to tell you you are getting "X" price on the car, but make it up by dropping the trade in value by the same amount. Again, for the most part, we aren't talking about Fords where there is a big gap betwen MSRP and invoicem and while yes, you can "value" your trade, it's an inexact science. This is sort of a rhetorical question I suppose, but I am curious about people posting what they paid, with no mention of trades. (And yes, I also hate the "added fees" games, especially if they try to tack them on after you think you've got the final deal.)

I did not have a trade. Jarcher you are right a trade can really make comparing prices an impossible task.

MSRP and then some...

Quick true story about new car dealers ability to sell new cars 'above' MSRP.
I lived in Los Angeles (Hollywood) for a number of years b/n '99 & 2006.
My roommate Ted was selling for Mercedes Benz Bev Hills when the 'new' body 2003 SL 500
came out- 1st redesign in 10 years. New power retractable hardtop, etc. MBBH was creating their own asking price for the car.
Their months in advance 'waiting list' had 3 columns: MSRP for VIP's ONLY, 5-10k over and ...whatever it takes to get one!
The car finally came in on Friday march 1st. The lists were called...Ted sold 2 on Friday at $30k OVER and $20K OVER the $95K MSRP
price. But wait... Another one at $30k OVER on saturday...$80K OVER MSRP on 3 vehicles!
I got him the initial job interview , and wanted a cut of his commish!!! 25% of profit = about $18K
for his weekend. That was a dealer record for first weekend EVER of a month.
Mini Cooper's were fetching up to $5K over on an S model there, for a year, too...
It all comes down to Supply & demand!
p.s. another buddy there sold for a Porsche Dealer circa 2002 and got a call on a weeknight at 7 from 'Charlie Sheen'
to check on a car. Sure enough he showed up with Adam Rich (coked up, allegedly) an hour later
and spent $280K by personal check on a Ferrari and a Porsche
He went surfing in Bali with that commission check for 4 weeks!

^ Old news, yep 1998 Boxsters sold for well over MSRP, and during dot-com boom here Ferrari's sold immediately for tens of thousands over MSRP (and friend of mine at successful tech startup bought one off the floor and still has it).

But not applicable to any CX-5, model year 2013 or 2014.

Yes, 'old news', says you. Is this your forum? If you 'already knew' this information just move along, maybe someone else
was interested or wasn't aware this ever happened. Congrats on your friend still having his 1998 overpriced Boxster- nice addition
to the reply. Good etiquette on your part, self appointed 'forum enforcer'. When I donate $15 maybe I'll be entitled, too.

No, he has the overpriced Ferrari still.

Sorry about the mention of "old news" comment, even if the story is not applicable to CX-5 pricing.

btw-You might benefit from the etiquette lesson even more, lol. And feel free to donate.
