Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and could not find the answer. What brand are the stock shocks on a Pro5? Are they any good? My car is lowered with H&R sport springs only about 1.4" and the ride is still real good and handles sweet so was wondering if its ok just to run stock shocks or will it get bad quick? Ever other car I owned I always installed Bilsteins so this is the first time I am running drop springs with stock shocks so am a little worried especially since I have wheels spacers on my car as well.

Please give me your advice! Thanks in advance!!

It came with the car. I bought it from a friend and he instaleld it. Tire Rack has them. Cheap too....perfect ride height.

OE stock struts on the P5 are KYB's in the front, Tokico's in the rear. I'm running the Eibach ProKit springs on the stock struts, and feel they do a fine job. Shouldn't be a problem, unless the roads you travel everyday are really rough (the struts life depends heavily on how "abused" they get on a daily basis.) Only time will tell.

BTW - I haven't forgot you on the filler plugs. I've been really sick for the past fours days. Hope to get out today / tomorrow to get what ya need. ;)

Thanks for the info! But why does Mazda use 2 diffrent brands of shocks front and rear? Thants very strange....... don't worry about the plugs, when you have time my friend. Thanks!

hey hawaiiannights, interested in how your p5 looks with the H&Rs on stock shocks? can you post a pic? i want to compare them to the prokits that mackdaddy is on. (i think the prokits are 0.4" lower, right?)

thanks! :)

Sure my friend! Just remember I have wheels spacers also so the wheels are pushed out farther then other cars. The ride height is the same though. H&R springs with stock shocks.

hawaiiannights: thanks! the wheel spacers make the drop look awesome! any problems with them yet? rubbing/fitment issues? are they H&R spacers? how much did they run you?

so many questions! muahahahah...cough (too much pepsi).

:D

No problems with the spacers, the ones in the front are wider than the ones in the back. They are from Japan. Cost is about $300 total. Here's a pic of the spacer. Its the silver and black looking thing.
