I drive a caution cone
I used to use crown and the cheaper no name brands. I switched to mobil and seemed like it put a new life in the motor. Less hesitation and pull smoother pull the the redline. About a month ago I switched to Sunoco ultra 94, have been using it ever since. Its about 10cents more a gallon but since our cars run extra hot, its nice to have a higher octane to cool the engine down.
Also i recently switched out to a hotter spark plug and it gives me a piece of mind.

hotter spark gave you piece of mind?.....hrm.

Anyway, i use Chevron...why? TECRON!!!!....lol, but serioulsy, i got a gas card there so its just all i use.

Anyone know if there can be a difference between actualy gas stations. Like can one chevron use a different source for gas than another. The reason i ask is, there is this chevron, and its 10cents cheaper than the other chevrons, i went there and swear my car ran like crap untill i got it refilled at a different chevron.

i don't think so...my dad was in the oil trading business and he explained it to me this way. everybody gets their gas from the same place. what makes chevron gas chevron or shell gas shell is the additives they put in. they have their own special additives they put in and that's what they advertise makes their gas better. non-brand name places get their gas from the same places the big companies do, but they have a generic mix of additives blended in. that really is the only difference.

here's something else interesting.....have you ever noticed that the price of 89 octane is closer to the price of 93 octane when you think it should be closer to the price of 87 octane? it would be cheaper to buy 93 and 87 octane separately and then mix it yourself at the pump!! just one more way the gas companies get you at the pump.

oh, and usually, i fill up at sam's club with 93...sometimes diamond shamrock with 93 if prices are too high....and sometimes when i'm at home at shell with 93.

usually shell 93 because no matter where you go in pembroke pines FL there's a dam shell within 60 feet of you, i've never put anything < 93 octane, cats, turbos just don't mix with low grade petrol

I almost always hit a QT in Tulsa for my 93

I am also a sucker for their $0.39 44 oz drinks all summer long.. WHOOT!

Sunoco Ultra 94 .. until the end of August, at least. Then I go back to the middle of Shitsplat, Pennsylvania for college .. and, if I remember correctly, no one has the 94 out there. But I've never ran anything less than 93 in my MSP.

and know what else, at least in the convienience store chain i work for (and im sure theyre all like that) its not a 50/50 blend. its 65%/Unlead and 35%/Super lol so u payin for over half of unlead.

(omg) cam2 is what we call it and it 110 octane the sweetest smell ever boy is it strong its only race fuel but i use it ne ways screw that pep boys octane booster bad thing is its usually $3.95 a gallon and i usually go half and half with 93 octane but awesome awesome stuff!! (yupnope)

there is a mobil near my hause that i always use because the car runs good with it, if i use another one my car won't run good and start to hasitate so i rather use the mobil and shell those are the best gas stations for me.

BP/Amoco Ultimate 93. Since I have BP card and have gotten over $140 in free gas since last october.. :D

the highest octane rating in missouri is only 91 =(
Wrong, in Lake of the Ozarks, there is 92 at BP and 93 at...damn I forgot the name, but it was the first time I have ever put 93 in my car :) 92 is the highest in Nebraska.

I use mostly the Shell Optimax 91 octane that they sell in Canada. I've also used the only 94 octane we can fin around here from PetroCan but it's 10 more... a liter!!!!
