Like the title says, What Auto Parts store Pulls the Check Engine Code for you for free..? I remember that one does but can't remember who.. I put on my TurboXS DP,RP and Bypass valve this past weekend hoping to avoid a Check engine Light. Soooo obviously I had reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery terminal so the ECU could relearn the mods.. So every thing runs fine and was good and at about 102 miles after the reset the light came on.. I havent pulled the code yet mind you.. Soo I was like well s***.. Im gonna reset the ECU again and see if it comes back.. well it did..Right at 102 miles after reset again.. So I guess after 100 or so miles the ECU looks at its data and is like hey.. this isn't right and throws a code.. Probably for not having any cat on the car. My question is 2 parts...
1.) When the light is on.. does that put my car in a limp mode, with a weak map/tune from the factory or not.. (It seems to run fine)
2.) What Auto Parts store will pull the code for free so I can reference it to see why its throwing the code ( more to make sure its not something else other then my Cat(s) not being on the car. Is it AutoZone, or PepBoys or what.. WHOs the PART STORE that will do it for free..??
