What are they going for right now?

2003.5 Titanium MSP
I am in the Pacific Northwest and am considering buying a new 2003.5 MSP (no definitive color preference) in either the Seattle or Portland area. I know that there is currently a $2,000 cash back rebate through 12/1. Is the real out-the-door price (minus taxes, destination, etc.) $19K or is $18K a realistic price to shoot for (or even less)? I'd also appreciate advice on Seattle/Portland or other northwest dealerships that are selling for a good price and have otherwise made for a positive buying experience. I'm actually in eastern Washington so service at the dealership I buy from is not an issue since it isn't likely to happen. Orginally I was in the used MP3 market (and still may end up going that way if the right vehicle/price comes up), but the bargain prices on new MSPs are just too good to pass up since it's just $5K or so more for a brand new car with all the extra performance. Also, any premiums for certain colors?--I see lots of titanium ones in dealer inventories, but few of the blue for instance.

Thanks,
Gary

I say blue, from what I remeber hearing there are only 500 of them. Nothing will give you the sexy look of fog lights like a black one though.

If you plan on modding the car, get as in depth with the dealership on what you can and cannot do. Always check other dealership too.

15995 for 03, 16495 for 03.5 at my dealer. Most likely buying one this week because of the killer prices.

Thanks again Brian. I "hijacked" your other thread about colors to ask that of you too. I'm really amazed. I've done online inventory searches and come up with 8 dealers in the area with either blue, titanium, or yellow. It's way too dusty (eastern Washington is largely desert) here for a black car--I owned one many years ago. Then I moved to the SF bay area for a year or so and all the sudden, it stayed cleans for weeks at a time instead of looking bad in just a few hours outside. So one of them should hopefully be in the ballpark you'll looking at and I might jump at it.

I got mine 2003.5 yellow MSP last week. It was $16388. If you are a college student, you will get another $500 dollor discount.

It was a pretty good price.

That's another great price. I was a college student in 1989 so I don't think that will fly...I'm a junior member on this board, but 37 in real life so that's the only place I'm junior. This car is going to be a daily driver to replace an '88 BMW M3 that I sold a couple weeks ago--had the thing for 11 years and only lost $4K between my purchase price and what I just sold it for--I highly recommend the M3, E30 model especially, as a fun-to-drive collectable if you can store them over winter and not drive them daily. I also just bought a restored '74 BMW 2002tii that is going to be stored over winters now so I didn't have room for two nice-weather drivers (wife has an SUV so we don't really need a car for other than local driving in winter--we get very little snowfall, none some years). The MSP (and even a used MP3) appeal to me more than the alternatives like a VW GTI.

Thanks,
Gary
