What are the odds?

I was just wondering you all's opinion on whether or not there will be any MSPs left by the middle to end April or the beginning of May. I'll be getting a new car about that time and I really don't want to have to wait for the 03.5s unless they come out in early summer.

Thanks!!!

your chances are very slim........ i'd say maybe 10% chance to get one at that time.... and thats pushing it in my opinion

Well, thanks for the reply anyway. I'll see what I can do about getting one before then.

It Depends...

The dealer here is getting 12 of them. They say they are expecting 2 per month. To date, they have received the first one last week, and not all are sold. In fact, the first one is still sitting in the show room on it's diamond tread show area. Following that history, they will receive numbers 9 & 10 in May. If you are serious, I'd suggest you get thee to an Elite Mazdaspeed dealer and see about getting on a list. The bigger the volume dealer, the bigger allotment they will be getting.
I'd also suspect that the roll out of the 2003.5s will not be as problematic as the first batch, now that the learning curve has been surpassed. Therefore, when the supply of the original batch runs out, the next batch should be in the pipeline for delivery. Jim

Thanks for the advice, Jim. I'll see about doing that ASAP. If getting a 03.5 means waiting maybe one or two more months, I might be willing to do it.

Thanks again,

Zig

Hayes Mazda in Kalamazoo has one orange and one black. It seem to me that they have nobody that is serious about the cars. I honestly think that there will be some cars left in april or may to be bought. but i am not a dealer or a broker, so i am just speculating!

Yeah, I kind of hope that the lack of enthusiasm carries into the midwest here. For the most part, not too many people really give a crap about performance cars around here. I've seen more Mustangs and Camaros than Civic SIs, SERs, or anything else for that matter. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.

I am honestly disapointed in the fact that there are still people waiting for their cars and yet, it seems that some dealers are sitting on cars that will not sell. I dont know why this is but it makes me think that not to many people care about this car or mazda in general. I dont know

im disappointed too....

i think mazda should have released cars based on who had deposits. like if they have a white mazda 6s in port and someone ordered it in connecticut, they arent going to arbitrarily put it on a truck and deliver it to a random dealership are they? i would think they would send it to the place where it was ordered.

a lot of dealers got the color that they have NO deposits for, while they have many deposits in theother color. seems weird to randomly assign cars to dealershpis
