What about the BEGI turbo?? Any news?

if you say so

This is very interesting.
Corky states that 300hp is capable with our motors with proper engine managment. I am not an engineer or designer so I cannot compete with corky's statemets. But if this is true then I am in the realm capable of this horsepower(i.e. engine managment aka flyinmiata ecu) I am taking a wild guess that 300hp is capable at extremely high boost levels...roughly in the 16-18psi range. I seriously doubt that our motors can reliably attain these hp numbers at that boost level and thats the only way I see this happening on stock internals. Perhaps a tec3 system and a t3/4 turbo at 12-14psi can attain these hp levels but with little drivabilty due to the large turbo. But if Mr. Corky the man himself says it can be done then there is hope. How reliably is another story. Trust me I wont be aiming for that 300hp mark. I will wait and see until somebody else blows there motor up, to determine our maximum boost threshold:D ;)

I think 300 crank is possible, but don't expect the motor to last to long under high boost even if the furl and iginition system have been tuned properly. Just my .02 cents

dare to be different?

Hi to all who share the same passion for their vehicles. It's awesome to hear different views of cosmetic or performance changes done to similar mp3's or p'5's. It is wonderful to have Corky bell, a turbo and or supercharging God to assist us in finding or unleashing more (lots more) hp from our daily wagons.
Having had enjoyed afew of his supercharged and turbocharged systems on my other daily drivers have been rather tastey. His knowledge in power dilivery is 2nd to none. His team produces awesome quality of components and upgrades. Like everything else, quality does not come very cheap. Looking for big hp gains, phat torque curves, and reliability...he's done it, been there probably do it many more times. Very quick indeed.

Thanks.
