Ok, I spent like 20 minutes typing an ode to the P5 and I spent too long and the server said I needed to log in. My wonderful peice of work about the uniqueness of the P5 is gone! Man, this is the second time this has happened to me!!!! I'll have to rewrite it.

The P5 IS great. I've had mine for just over a year now and that is a record for me. I don't keep cars or bikes more than a couple of months normally. That says a lot about the P5.

I have owned 3 acura's, 3 porsche's, and a first gen rx-7. The P5 is the best all around car I have owned. Not my favorite, but best all around. My 95lb dog loves it, I can fit 5 adults comfortably in it, I have been able to achieve 38 mpg, I have slept in the back seat, I have had only one or two unexpected trips to the mechanic with 77k, and the hanling is definitely up to par!

Please do explain, The highest I've been able to muster out of my protege-not-5 is 28.081! Makes me think somethings wrong...

most i got out of it is 30mpg city/highway. anyways, ive owned a honda prelude, honda accord, and an 01 sentra. i miss the power of the accord(h22), i miss the looks of the lude, and i miss the comfort of the sentra. the p5 i absolutely love. it shifts smooth as heaven, its not loud, its comfy inside, and it turns liek a dream!!! all my other cars turned like trucks! try driving a slammed accord with a heavy ass h22 up front and no power steering...its a nightmare.

I have loved my P5 for more than a year now. Black Mica, lowered, tints, rims. But a funny thing happened the other day. I test drove an '07 Speed3. Now I feel like I cheated. But damn did it feel good. Only problem is, I don't feel the same love I did last week!

I only got 38mpg once. Drove 70mph down the freeway in the slow lane for 2and a half hours. It was literally all freeway. I was careful about accelerating.

I bet those are Canadian Gallons.

34-38 mpg (Canadian gallons)

is the same as

28.3 - 31.7 mpg (US gallons).

Around 30mpg is about right for a P5 on the highway.

Yeah, there's no way you're getting 34-38 mpg on a regular basis, even moreso if you include city driving.

I drive 85 miles roundtrip for work everyday on the highway and have been getting 32-33 mpg (and that's driving 65 mph the whole way with no stops). I once got 35 mpg higway, but I usually average 26-28 mpg for city driving.
