I'm in total agreement with crashkelly. But then again, I think that's because of what area we're from .. Philly.
I hate to say it, but in that neighborhood, chrome is typically reserved for people who do little to their cars -- other than jack it up on some preposterously flashy wheels. When I think of chrome wheels, I think of exactly what HE thinks of: overweight cars/trucks with overweight wheels. Gangsta-wannabes. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
So each their own with their wheels, and with their cars in general. But if you look at the vast majority of true tuner cars out there, you won't see an overwhelming population of heavy chrome wheels. Will you see a lot of polished lips? Damn straight you will. But that is NOT the same as a chrome wheel.
.. Then again, I don't like gold wheels, either. So my post in this thread is generally worthless, LOL.
