so yeah, me and equinox went to the track today.. my car is currently in its stock stage, I havnt had time to put the MBC back on. and its my first time to the track. my runs ranged from a 15.5-15.8. I couldnt get the launch down.. I either had really bad wheel hop, or bogged down. I'll post my slips when I get them out of my car..

my best 60 foot was a 2.26
like I said, need to work on the launch

I'd say 2.2* is good, 2.4 is ok/avg for first time driver, 2.5+ needs improvement.

I went out to my local track here saturday and witnessed an SRT-4 handing out asses to people. He smoked the 350Z, smoked several other ACR and RT neons, smoked me in my P5, smoked 2 new Mustang GT's with some work done to them.....this was all when he was actually racing the car. He kept trying to adjust his boost controller and he would pop and snort, detonate, backfire...it looked like ass going down the track, but you couldn't argue with his numbers and his victim list. Anyone who hasn't actually seen the SRT race before should be cautious....even if you're in a 15psi daily driver.....(cough cough)

Actually the 2003 SRT4 is like .02 seconds faster then the 350z, and the 2004 has more power than the 2003. It sounds like this guy probably had the stage2 turbo upgrade, or perhaps was jacking with the boost to get more power. They're fast cars in a straight line, but they're crap to sit in =P

SRT-4 will kill a lot of cars.... including ours at higher boost levels..

I raced a Stage 1 SRT-4 running 19psi and had flat-shift... I could hold him to 3rd gear then it was over.

yeh 2.2 is what u should shoot for, 2.26 isnt really...."good"

2.2x for a FWD car on street tires is very good.
I couldnt get better than 2.3's at the track i goto...but this track is known for traction issues.

yeah..I always get 2.4-2.5 it sucks.

you can download the videos in my signature and hear all the wheelspin....even feathering the clutch!

the 15.3 video was the worst launch, no wheelspin when lauching but the grip came loose in high rpms in 1st and 2nd gear
