First.... they forget to fill up my oil... so i drive home and find out, oh, WTF i have barely any oil pressure, check the stick, theres 1mm of oil on the stick (their own crappy skills probably saved my car by not draining the oil completly)

second they forget to use TOOLS and they hand tighten the drain plug so im leaking oil all the way home and all over my garage floor

and NOW after i finished using my pack of 6x $20 oil changes i find out they only hand tightened my F*cking oil filter too so i was probably dripping oil from the filter when my car is running or at a higher RPM (high pressure would probably force the oil to come out through the sides.

THREE times in a row they f*ck up.. how is that even possible? im done with mazda if i have to deal with service like this, makes me wonder if they even changed my timming belt and gasket after i paid for the 100K tune up.

also my drain plug is stripped to s***, cant they use the proper size of wrench? i bet they used an impact gun on it at one point in time.

BTW since im done the oil change "Value" pack, i am changing my own oil, and pretty much will do any work on my car that needs to be done. if it comes down to it, ill even do my own engine swap. f*ck mazda service.

you should just let all the oil leak out, seize the motor and sue then to buy you a new engine.

wooooooooooow id raise a real stink about that. definitly get back to them and btichcause thats just unacceptable. any damage?

the car amazingly still runs fine, and after i seafoamed it, the millage is back up to brand new.

they will just lose my business, and the business of everyone i know that owns a mazda, ill even do some of my friends oil changes for free if i have too.

your only supposed to put the oil filter on hand tight. You don't tighten it down with a wrench, you'll never get it off.

its supposed to be snug, not "spin the filter and walk away" loose.

Wow, that sounds like the worst dealership ever. I never trust oil and lube places. You ever know what they're doing and if they know what they're doing.

i would rather go to walmart than go to this dealer again. however, the other mazda dealer (sunridge) hasnt screw around with me other than trying to rip me off.

Maybe they put the new timing belt on but bet you they didn't do cam seals, tensioner spring or water pump while they were there. I don't know why this is a surprise, it is typical of what to expect from 99.9% of dealershits. Just glad you don't have to squeeze them for a new motor. DIY FTW! Only way dealership ever touches any of my rides is if there is a factory warranty in effect & there isn't on this car for over a year so uh uh uhhh, no touchy. And it would never be for any maintenance issues either.

You just have to find a shop where you're confident they know what they're doing. I've been going to this one place for a while for the more complicated stuff and I trust them to do the job right. It's also a Napa authorized shop so the work is warrantied for 6 months. Easy stuff I do myself, oil changes, etc.

Em, what the **** man? That's bulls***! Whatever happened to the emmanuel that did all his own modz? (L33t hax0r stylez)? lol

lol but i have to pay $30 vs $20 for an oil change (i do use new oil vs recycled oil and a K&N filter vs a s*** filter)

i guess i got what i paid for, $10 less to fuk up my car.

oh BTW where in calgary can i get K&N filters for cheap? they are $10 in the US but like $16 everywhere i canada.

Mopac sell the HP-1004's for about $12 IIRC. ALso crappy tire sells them, but you're right they're liek $16. Auto Value carries them as well I believe.
