Weird vibration in 2nd gear

Hey,

I am looking for some input on a weird vibration in my accelerator pedal when I am accelerating between 3-4 RPM in second gear. I only feel the vibes in my accelerator pedal when I drive aggressively. Under light throttle, I don't feel it. Any help resolving this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, only in second. The vibration is not really bad, just enough to be noticeable and annoying.

Another way to describe it is it feels like I am getting wheel hop in 2nd gear from 3K-4K instead of a nice smooth acceleration. Any suggestions on the cause?

Idk dude. Still got warranty on that thing?
Try finding a good local performance shop and maybe they'll have some insight.

Yeah, I wish! No, warranty is up. This is going to be a pain in the ass to figure out. Oh well. I guess it is the nature of the beast.

Some additional info on the issue... when I was driving today I noticed that the vibration is not only in the accelerator pedal but traveling through the cabin. Like I said earlier, the vibration is most noticeable under heavy acceleration when going into 2nd gear between 3-4k rpms.

TTT...still need help resolving this issue. I cant figure out what is wrong and it is driving me nuts!

I would just take it to the dealer to have them see whats wrong then fix it yourself or get ***** by the dealer. Have you checked your motor/tranny mounts and your diff mounts?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's a mount somewhere too that is transferring vibrations rather than absorbing them.

New clutch with a bad resurfaced fly wheel??? If it only does it in second Sounds like a possible tranny issue

Yeah, I think it may be a mount as well. I am going to have it looked at. I just noticed today that the vibration is less noticeable With the ac off.

Well I had it on the lift today, and my rmm is shot. When I installed the war mount, I didn't remove the sub frame tabs which damaged the bushings.

Well, I replaced the damaged AWR RMM with a SURE RMM. The shift thump is improved, but I am still getting the vibration when accelerating in 2nd gear. aahhh! I seem to notice it more with my AC on too. Maybe I am just going to have to suck it up and take it to the dealer.

Talk with Tony at AWR. He SHOULD replace that mount at no cost so you can sell it here and regain some of your loses. Sorry to hear about your issue. Have you checked your other mounts?

Thanks, I will talk with him. I haven't checked my other mounts. Do you know where I can find a diagram showing where the other mounts are located on a MS6?
