Weird incident this morning.

So, on the way to get some coffee thsi morning..

get into the drive thru put my order in go thru the drive thru, i turned my car off so i wouldnt start smoking because of my downpipe. So car is off, battery is on, listening to the radio, get my drink and turn the car on...well car didnt turn on, so was like wtf?!? kept on trying to cut it on but nothing, well car finally turned on, but battery reset EVERYTHING. this was the first time this has EVER happened and hasnt happened since then. soooo what the heck was this all about? lol

do i need a new battery or something?

check your connection under the hood. some time the posts get acid on them and the connection becomes weak. try cleaning them with some water and baking soda.

This is a good method for cleaning up the corrosion. Once you do this, you should flush the area well to make sure there is no residue on surrounding components.

Also, if you go to most parts stores, they will test your battery and alternator for free. It wouldn't be a bad idea considering this incident.

cool thanks for the input people.

i just cleaned off the terminals and all, there was a little bit of corrosion, but this is making me wanna invest in a new battery so i might just do that, ill def run my auto zone and get it checked out
