Hola! Proud new owner of a silver 03' p5 as of Monday! About 105k miles. Stick. Bone stock except for the wheels, which the previous owner put on.

Personally, my name is John, im 20 years of age and Im from the dirty jerz. I am an ncaa lacrosse player and go to school in pa. I wouldnt consider myself a complete noob to the modding world or a stranger to working with tools or cars; my previous car was a 99' civic coupe and I had a complete system in it all installed by myself and did a couple of other basic mods - but nothing crazy, kept it maintained myself with the help of my father. Sadly, that car was totaled in june, got hit by another driver and thankfully it was determined not my fault and everything worked out alright.

As per my p5, im looking to keep it clean - i just want to do a couple of things to make it more unique and also to simply have a little fun. Right now im just trying to get some needed maintenance outta the way (fluids, belts, sparks, etc.), and hopefully soon ill start makin her sexy.

Love this site! So much information and ideas from you wonderful gentlemen and the occasional lady ;) I also gotta say, I simply love admiring some of your whips! Looking forward to it all! Thanks.

Welcome aboard! Let me be the first to say, if you need new headlight bulbs, buy some HIDs. This car eats through regular bulbs like nobody's business.

Welcome aboard!! By looking at you miles. Before you do anything you might need timing belt replacement unless is already change by the previous owner....

Hey guys, thanks. So yeah unfortunately the previous owner did not replace the timing belt, so im gonna be getting that done very soon.

I am gonna be getting some HIDs' eventually, ill wait until one of these bulbs burn out. I see that its recommended not to get HID Hi/lo beams - which makes sense ill hardly use em and its just more expensive. and since my left fog is out ill just get some HIDs' for both.

got started with some things yesterday, painted my emblems and the amber reflector on the bumper. ordered a new shift knob. gonna be getting a tint job soon. and will put in a new head unit soon, i cant stand not listening to my ipod.

^ Thanks. If I had to do it again, I would probably go one step down on the headlights. I bought the 4300k bulbs for my gf's car... I think I dig those better; not to say I don't like mine, I just prefer the others.

great buy

like everyone else already said.... u just joined the best mazda forum around.... enjoy the new car....
