Warranty on 919

Hey I read somewhere on here about doing something to the 919 so that Mazda has to fix it and put the 828 in there how do i do that and is it worth the risk?

Personally I wouldn't recommend it as it's really nothing more than insurance fraud. The car came with the stereo it came with and that's what you paid for in my opinion. Would be the same thing if I wanted new tires so I just slashed all of mine and said it was vandals...you get caught and you could be in serious trouble.

I'd like to meet the person who can tell if outputs were blown on purpose. Its nearly impossible to tell. Outputs blow all of the time. Contact a stereo shop if you know someone. I'd rather not get into how to do it on a public forum. Blown outputs are fairly common and should not raise suspicion.

just for your info, my z919 broke twice ( not on purpose) the sound cut out to all my speakers but power is still goin to the z919 so ive had it replaced twice both times with the z919. Both times it was a pain in the ass so i wouldnt recomend it. i spent so much time at the dealer over something so stupid. so before you try to scheme mazda there is a chance that u might get the z919 again. Even though the stereo is no longer made some how i still got one so. so go figure.

thats messed up, my stereo was stolen in July and when i had it fixed a MONTHS later i was given a Z828. that sucks

but what i think MP3-4ME is trying to get to is that is fraud to do what he is talking about and if he does it he is taking some chances.

Just so you know guys. Mazda does not put in a new radio when yours brake. They put in a reconditionned one from Kenwood. I know cause when my radio broke at 5000 km they put in a reconditionned one and I was very pissed. So if annyone got a z828 for a z919, I don't know what to tell you except that maybe they were out of z919...
Still fighting for a brand new radio...:mad:

Maybe its a canadian thing. I know for a fact it doesn't happen like that in St. Louis. Mazda uses ALL new parts for warranty work. Just a thought.
