Guys,
A few of you have had to contact lawyers in regards to work initially refused by Mazda due to modifications. If you are one of those people, please PM or IM me ASAP.

damn man...

No motor issue. Here's the deal..

A while back, my LSD was replaced and that has been the last time anyone has touched my transmission. When I actually went out to drive my car for once after the accident, the car stalled on the highway and I rolled it to a stop without power and the clutch pedal was all the way to the floor. We initially took the car to a 3rd party transmission shop first due to my lack of luck with Mazda and how I didn't want to deal with warranty bulls***.

So the tranny shop pulls the tranny and finds my clutch to be completely devoured/shattered and they also find that the transmission has no fluid in it. Interesting. Again, the last person to touch my tranny is the Mazda tech. There were also several bolts missing from the transmission housing.

So I wait a while for my new Spec clutch/flywheel to be installed and then the car is taken to Mazda on a flatbed. They decide to give me a wake up call this morning when I was happily asleep to inform me that they are declining warranty coverage. The rep apparently came out and said no due to a 'fuel system modification'. They then said that in my warranty paperwork, it is stated that if the car is modified, the warranty is void. I remind them that there is a federal law that states a modification has to be responsible for the damage and a lack of fluid cannot be due to a fuel system modification. He tells me he'll "try" to have the rep contact me.

I've already talked to MazdaUSA and they're pointing fingers at the service manager, saying I need to speak to him about it being covered and he's pointing right back saying I need to speak with Mazda.

So, I'm now at this point.

sounds to me like whoever did the tranny work should be at fault for not doing their job...

Exactly, but the service manager surely won't admit to that. So now I have to decide if I want to go the court route or shrug it off, save however much I need for a new tranny and do it all myself, saying **** it to Mazda.

I'd go to court just to prove a point to them.

Your arugement should be:
If I had shelled out the money for the tranny installed and you guys messed it up, you'd have to fix it. Just because mazda paid instead of me, it makes no difference. And there is a implied warrenty in this case.

I would be more pissed off at the dealer that did the work.. rather than Mazda.

sounds like we Mazda owners need to go storm that dealer with ya.. time to open up a can of whoop ass......

Should be able to build our cars after paying 20,000 for them and mod all we want and mazda or whoever should have to fix them!!! Blah!

Modification or no modification, that doesn't solve my problem. I'm not trying to get an engine out of them due to boost. I'm getting a transmission, properly in my opnion, replaced due to lack of fluid.

Mazda dealership is the one that did shotty tranny work that created the problem!

Anyway, I have to go to work; feel free to bump this thread throughout the day. I need those that have been through this to see this and reply.
