MAZDASPEED 6
Well I have been experiencing some problems with the speed. On startup there is a rattle coming from underneath the head "so says Mazda" and my rear diff. feels like it is coming undone (you can feel it moving occasionally) Anyways I took it into Mazda today and they take it back for a couple min. and then tell me they will not look at either of the problems because I have an exhaust intake and bov. I stated that it is the buyers right to modify their car and the warranty cannot be voided unless the problem is directly caused by the aftermarket part. He goes on to say that the "extreme" power increase is what could cause the rear diff to go out, and the rattle could also be caused by the power increase. They said that they will not even look at the problem to see if it was caused by the modifications and they said the only way they will work on it is if I can put the car back to stock (which i cant because i cut the bolts to the catback off) and bring it in. If anyone knows anything that could help me resolve this matter that would be greattttt. (Im waiting for a call back from some district man who is in charge of the warranties so I will post what he says)

man i am SO LUCKY not to have an asswhole for a dealer like youa nd others with this problem. That rattle may be the actuater valve under start up mine came loose fixed under warrenty, and i have the standback, cia , bov, and no mufflers. My dealer said "if your mods cuased the probem then fixing it may be a problem but if it didn't then well fix it, he was honest and fixed it...pirceless!!! Try a different dealer bud!

wow VERY suprising with the standback...where do you live lol anywhere near cinci. He did go to say that it was most likely the "cam actuater valve" (pretty sure thats what he said)

yeah!! cam acuater valve thats what it was, in down south texas, yeah i was happy especailly with all these horror stories "oh your engine fell out cuase you have an intake"..lol

damn lol ill be out in texas at the end of the year but thats not soon enough lol...hopefully i can pull out the Magnuson-Moss act on them and then they will have to fix it but until then...who knows.

I've got some warranty issues too, my engine went at only 8500 miles, i had an exhaust, fmic, and a different bypass valve. They're throwing flags all over, i'm fighting it tooth and nail, i've got mechanics up the wazoo to testify that mazdas dumb, lawyers to throw down legal jive, and a group of suits from Ford World Headquarters to back me up. Here's our Regional Managers number, the Ford suits got it for me (my dad works there) 630-873-2409.

good stuff!! so did you get a new motor? there is know way yur motor would break at 8500 miles from a upgraded intercooler etc... they should know that

Wouldn't the "super awesome tremendous" power gain from an intake and exhaust give your car, I don't know, about the same ammount of power as the MS CAI and MS CBE??????? Yet they would cover something with Mazdaspeed parts on it.

Give 'em that to chew on!(enguard)

there is a tsb out for the rattle you are experiencing i think. well its for a clicking on start up and involves the VVT chain.

So mazda officially said they will not keep my car under warranty. this came directly from the district warranty advisor so im open for suggestions on what i should do lol

Yeah dude don't believe any BS they feed you, get everything they say in writing or record your conversations and get a lawyer. I'm still fighting my case. I'm working on getting the test data from corksport now to prove that the parts don't cause problems. Last load of BS i got was that the turbo was at to high psi and that caused the air to get to hot and caused the detonation. It's been a month now since I've been without my car, I've been riding my bicycle to work and just last weekend bought a beater car for 1000 to get me around when it rains. Call your insurance company too and put it on storage insurance since you aren't driving it, it saves you quite a bit of coin.
