The OEM tires on the speed3 are bridgestone potenza, top of the line tire, and shouldn't be bald in 8k miles.....

there isn't a tire around that should be bald in under 10k.....but than again look at the bridge stones(or goodyears) that went on all the exploers....s*** happpens and there's not a whole lot to it sometimes....it just happens to be a bad one, or a bad run. look at my friends transmision, who has ever heard of an allison dying under 100k...it died at like 37k just about warranty but they tool care of it cause it's a fluke.....i mean s*** happens i've seen worse, who hasn't

They had to send out an engineer to look through your glovebox?! My girlfriend could have done that. The amount of money they would have saved in salary would have more than paid for your repair. Definitally take it up with Mazda, tell them how dissapointed you are with their engineering staff and their lack of respect for your privacy, let alone their nonsense reasoning for abuse.
