2010 MS3
Gonna go put down $500 deposite tomorrow and reserve an 08 MS3 GT. Hope I won't get high interest rate by the time come, first time buyer here.

whaat.. 500 that's it? they told me i had to shell out 1000 on a cred card or check to reserve one.. (i didn't really mind since it was go towards the car anyway)

i sorta have this feling that an 08 model might have something that an 07 won't have.. (besides the 2008 stamp.. har har har....)

and what would make you think that ?

all previous models are built the EXACT same way... haha

to be exact i dunno yet. the sales didn't tell me what will be the different or will the price be different. but yeah $500 is what he told me, the other dealership ask for $2000, so I think it's depend on the dealership.

I really hope I can get a GT with NAV, but that one already got reserve. so gonna reserve a black GT for now.

btw, they don't even know when will it arrive, he said it might be couple months.

I ordered mine back in April and was told 100 days. As of today, got 33 days left on the wait.

Thats funny..I use to go to college in Orlando. When I went to a mazda dealer in Orlando after ordering mine in Miami a few months earlier where apparently you can't get them and they are selling them over sticker, they had 3 MS3 sitting on their lot for sale with no wait..I couldn't believe it. Also, I heard from the sales manager(my dealer) it would have taken longer than five months to get my car if I didn't get the Nav. Apparently they make the cars with navigation first on the assembly line and that it takes longer to get your car if you didn't order it with the navigation. People that ordered their MS3 3 weeks before me still were waiting for theirs when I picked mine up. Haha

I walk into my dealer and pick 1 of 3 that they had and left with it that day.So I guess I waited about 3 hours for mine..Lol

Mine was waiting for me! I showed up just to see what inventory was like in Houston and he checked the list and realized one just got off the truck earlier that day.

We went out to this field and it was sitting there waiting to get PDI-ed. It waited for a week before I made my decision. He hid it in the back and I held it with a check for $200.

You should really check out the navi before you buy it. i checked it out.. the navi is pretty weak... i mean no touch screen (well i guess that's not totally a bad thing, to keep the screen clean) also i guess you can utilize that screen for movies and such in the future.. damn maybe i should've gotten a navi model lol. it's all good, i'm fine with google maps and paper maps.
however, it WOULD be awesome if someone came out with an aftermarket kit that can utilize that upper midconsole space like the stock navi does. that would be sweet... (ex the boost gauges, or a dvd player, or a twizzle dispenser... REMEMBER WAYNE'S WORLD!?! lol)

(rockon) That's what I was hoping.

I think that navigation system is so old-school. Isn't it the one that came in the very first RX-8's? They haven't upgraded the technology. A $600 tomtom is much better.

Many MS3s they stick in the showroom have them, so you can go play with it and see if it's worth it.

Uhm, they can change any of those options so don't worry about it. Tell them what you want exactly and have them order it. You don't have to take what's available. I ordered mine Feb 22nd and got in June 8th if it helps.

Is a 2008 mazdaspeed3 confirmed then? I have read conflicting reports about if they will make it in 2008.

What previous models?

as far as other speed vehicles. check the MS6. nothing changed.

look at just standard non speed vehicles. they barely changed the front ends on the new 07 non speed 3's.

pretty sure they are making. nothin is set in stone obviously.

it would be interesting to see if they change colors, add or take away. etc...

I agree the NAV is kinda weak...My main problem with the nav is that the map always stay orientated north and doesnt change with the direction of the vehicle which can be kinda confusing at first and still kinda is a times for me. I had a Pioneer NAV before this and it was more refined and the map changed with your direction.. yet there are some things in particular thats good about the mazda NAV.

Here is the update, I actaully did a deal with them. I will put down $500 and they will trade a black MS3 with NAV for me with one of their hard top convertible Miata. Unfortunately, that black MS3 sold. Then they told me that they can find me a blue GT, but it will have 100 miles on it since they have to go there to pick up the car, so i said no. Now I'm on the waiting list on a 2008 black GT MS3.

And as told, 08 model is not even being build yet, so the earliest I can get the car will be 3 months later. Maybe a good time for me to save up some money for boost gauge and turbo timer.

I havent seen anyone with the blue MS3..I really don't like it cuz its not blue its more like teal..its too girly. To be honest the red is starting to grow on me..I'm not big on red cars but i've seen a few people with red MS3 and im starting to like it
